Are you a busy, single parent?

We work with single parents who are working full time, in school full time or a combination of both

Are you looking for support but have stability to work or go to school? 

We work with those seeking community support who have stable housing and stable transportation.

We are NOT an

“emergency, one time service/resource”

Are you ineligible for help?

We work with those that are Ineligible for services through the state due to earning too high of an income

Are you in a financial crisis?

We work with those facing financial crisis due to a life altering event (ex: court litigation, divorce/separation, caring for a parent/loved one…etc)

  • Do you work with families outside of the Richmond area?

    We serve families in the Greater Richmond area and surrounding counties. That includes Henrico, Chesterfield, Chester, Hanover, Mechanicsville, Ashland, Colonial Heights & Hopewell. Our max radius is 45 miles.


  • Any year round volunteer opportunities?

    Mentors, Board, and Junior Board members all serve as year-round volunteers. All other volunteer opportunities would be for a specific event or program such as our annual Celebratory Gala (February) and Go Forward Ride/Forward Fest (October) fundraiser events.


  • How is your program funded?

    Our funding comes from grants, fundraisers, as well as individual and corporate donors. 



  • What if I am receiving government assistance?

    If you are still eligible to receive government assistance, you will receive more financial support from the state than from our organization. Our program is specifically designed to assist single parents who are ineligible due to earning too high of an income, but are still struggling financially. 


  • Do you help grandparents or other guardians?

    We recognize every family dynamic is unique and would need to learn more about the situation. You can always fill out our contact form and someone from our organization will reach out to learn more.


  • Do you offer emergency services?

    No, we are not an emergency or one-time service agency. Our program is designed to assist families over the span of around 12-18 months if they meet our program criteria.
